We are pleased to say that the Birmingham Children's Hospital Feedback App is a finalist in this year's EHI Awards.
We were recently commissioned to develop and deliver a new look and new features for the Birmingham Children's Hospital website and to enhance the experience for its mobile users. An adaptive design will help thousands of visitors who browse the website using their mobile devices. As a part of the project, a news section was delivered for both desktop and mobile users too.
Illumina Digital worked with Crossover, Sheffield Doc/Fest and the BFI to produce this website for on-demand digital arts service The Space. The website allows users to create and send personalised digital postcards of coastal clips with footage sourced from the BFI National Archive and music by British Sea Power. The site was the winner of the FOCAL International award for Best Use of Footage on Digital or non-Television Platforms, 2013.
The National School of Healthcare Science (NSHCS) commissioned Illumina, as part of a consortium, to deliver an Online Assessment and Personal Development Portfolio for NHS healthcare science trainees that enables workplace-based assessment to be undertaken throughout their entire training period.
Moray in north east Scotland is hosting health experts from across the world. As part of the event they launched No Delays, a innovative way of connecting GP patients to hospital consultants and enabling the patient to take away specific information relating to their diagnosis.

Illumina has recently finished working with immersive theatre pioneers Punchdrunk, creating a web-app for smart phones as part of a digital research project based on around the story of Bluebeard. It delves into new territory, exploring a world where gaming meets live performance and installation. Played out on the campus grounds and buildings of the Rose Bruford Performance College, the web-app provided the audience (the game players) with game dashboards displaying progress, a point system for credits and experience, plot based messages and location context events. Also developed was a web-based admin application for the gamesmasters to direct and stage manage performers and monitor players progress through the game from a central backstage location.
Illumina Scotland recently created a Facebook App for Orange RockCorps France to coincide with a big music event featuring the Ting Tings in Paris.
The App, created, tested and implemented successfully in a tight one week turnaround, connects the Orange RockCorps France Facebook site with the existing Content Management System created by Illumina Scotland in 2011, to capture new registrants for volunteering projects across France.
Illumina Scotland recently created a set of Facebook Apps and accompanying CMS tools for new projects being delivered by our clients, RockCorps, in South America.
The RockCorps project, entitled 'Tiempo Para Compartir' comprises three Facebook Apps for Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela each with an accompanying version of our previously created Toolbox CMS to manage user data, communications and publication to apps.
